Prof. Caplan is energized about immigration but not about Wokeism. He thinks his academic career can survive a woke cancellation by both not stepping on their(Woke) toes and tenure. He should have an interesting future.
Harvard/Yale etc just announced that, despite affirmative action being illegal now, the number of blacks in their incoming class is basically unchanged.
It's difficult for me to consider woke "peaked" when it seems institutionalized in policy.
Harvard "recalculated" the number of blacks admitted the previous academic year, "adjusting" the number upwards from 14% to 18%. The school was then able to show a numeric decline in black matriculants this coming academic year from 18% down to 14% (and loudly lamented the decline due to the heavy hand of the Supreme Court). In fact, nothing has changed at Harvard and its perfidy and lawbreaking continues unabated. Nothing will change until crushing lawsuits with astronomical monetary awards are brought against the school and won by those denied admission due to the continuing discrimination against them.
"Fear is one of the woke movement’s chief weapons"
And surprise. Two chief weapons! Don't forget ruthless efficiency. And an almost fanatical devotion to the pope!
Also watch out for the comfy chair.
And the soft pillows.

Worse.
