I had not yet heard of this sterilization campaign, but it does not shock me. Indira was trained by Theosophist Annie Besant, a Fabian who founded the Malthusian League. She built a Family Planning program in India---the first in the developing world. Interestingly, it is almost surely the case that Kamala Harris's grandmother worked as part of that campaign!

Ms Gandhi was as imperious as her father(Nehru) t accused the British of being in their colonial rule. Her assassination, to me, was poetic justice. "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

The Gandhi-Nehru family are agents of the British Empire. This was a meticultously constructed reorganization of India after the empire had completed its primary looting operation. From the moment the Upanishads were translated, through Brahmo Samaj, to the LARP that was the Theosophical Society (secretly working with British nobles like the Montebattens), the whole event was the pretend independent of newly carved out nations that have simply served to fool the world into a state of confusion over what the City of London and the Crown were doing to the world.

Love the Trotsky quote. Does it come from when he was in power, and he was celebrating the bloodlust? Or does it come from when he was on the run from Stalin and pretending to care about communist excesses?

As someone said about Christopher Hitchens (a lifelong Trot symp), Trotskyism is the ultimate effort to have it both ways: they want to claim the prestige of a successful revolution without any of the blame for what it led to. But the Old Man was as vicious as any of them when he had power. He just wasn't as good at the backroom intrigue as Stalin.
