Politics is human nature aimed at avoiding violent conflict in directing the spoils of a productive society. Limiting the scope of legislative and executive branches to do good/harm and moving that power to the judicial branch simply makes judges, a regimen of ideological litmus tests, their election and/or appointment, and their tenure the new arena for political contention.
Evidently, you weren't paying attention when the Supreme Court was more evenly divided than at present. And federal judges routinely pop up in the hinterlands to grab the wheel and cause national political policy to careen off the road into the ditch. So, judges ain't gonna save us.
There are two major problems as I see it. One is the control of the government by the uber rich. Two is that few of the old middle class have the education or capability to be what today's businesses need. We are faced with two outcomes, we can give everyone a check, or they starve. When they see starving on the horizon they will revolt and be killed in mass. This outcome has been created by the uber rich that don't seem to be able to see the outcome of their actions or don't care.
