I’m teaching a new new course this semester, Econ 309: Economic Problems and Public Policies. Here’s the syllabus; here’s the complete class. Some of the lectures are just abbreviated versions of my full-length classes on labor economics, education, and immigration. But Econ 309 also includes totally new lectures on cost-benefit analysis, Covid policy, how government actually works, universal redistribution, means-tested redistribution, housing regulation, and energy/environmental policy.
Lectures will not be recorded; hybrid is just too hard to do skillfully. As always, however, I welcome the world to attend in-person. Can you audit? Yes. Can you visit? Yes. Bring friends? Yes. The class is right in Carow Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9 AM, so you can learn some econ, then wander down the hall to share ideas with Robin, Alex, Tyler, Vincent, or whoever else has some free minutes.
Why not only audio recordings, easy to do and upload?
great concept for a class but you really need to record the lectures too for a large audience.
