You think the Mexican revolution was bad, take a look at the Russian Revolution. The outcomes of it were arguably lowered the quality of life for people (Holodomor, Purges, etc). The ideals of revolution often are not realized. Yes, America had a revolution that resulted in a new, largely successful experiment, but it is clearly an anomaly.
The celebrated American Revolution was likely just as rotten an idea as any other revolution. I can't think of any REAL reason why it wouldn't have been. MAYBE casualties were lower?
Nice credibility boost. Keep it up.
Romantic revolutionaries should be hanged.
I'm Mexican and was confused reading Lewis' description of the revolution at the beginning.
We all know it was a terrible event in our history.

Excellent column! Well thought out and Impassionately reasoned. It certainly clarified many questions I have.

The results of the American Revolution were far better than the Mexican Revolution and the casualties were much less.
