While there are strong economic arguments for increasing legal immigration: (eg green cards to foreign STEM students, entrepreneurs, and even migrant farm workers visas), unrestricted or mass illegal immigration seems quite problematic for our overburdened Welfare State evident from the in-your-face deterioration on the streets of our major cities. Cultural assimilation is also a critical factor to consider from waves of massive immigration and seems to have played a significant role in government destabilization (eg mass asylum for Palestinians may have contributed to the civil war in Lebanon, immigration and grooming gangs a major factor in Brexit, the current surge of the Right through Europe, etc.).

The concept of "Open Borders" died during the Presidency of Joe Biden. It died of theory administered by politicians.

Please make a version that can be taken for a hike; an .mp3

Surely you don't expect us to sit on our butts and stare at a screen for an hour and a half, do you. Just because you have to, doesn't mean we have to. Don't forget we have a choice not to. You don't.

I very much prefer podcasts too, but there is a way to mitigate the issue: YouTube premium allows you to (a) download podcasts; and (b) listen to them in the background. It also removes adverts, too.

Thanks Incognito. I am a youTube premium user. Let me check out this feature. I will have to use youTube to show me how its done.

Using the iPhone YouTube app, it was as follows:

1. Select your profile picture/icon at the bottom right of the screen.

2. Select the settings 'cog' icon at the top right of the screen.

3. Select 'Background & downloads' from the long menu (fourth from bottom).

4. Select 'Background play'.

5. Select either 'Always on', or 'Headphones or external speakers' - either should be fine, I just use the latter.

Having enabled background play, to actually download a video, find a normal video (i.e. not a 'Short') in a playlist or the main screen, tap the three dots next to the title, and select Download. Alternatively, if you are already viewing a video, e.g. Bryan's above, a 'Download' button ought to be present under the channel name (the buttons should be, from left-to-right: Like/Unlike, Share, Remix, Download, Clip, Save, Report).

Hopefully that works for you - it's certainly not intuitive, is it!

You said "using your iPhone youTube app."

I don't have an iPhone but if I did, why would I want to convert it? It's already able to be heard on the phone.

Thanks for your effort.

No problem. I wasn't intending to refer to conversion, rather to downloading. The latter enables you to continue to listen without a cellular connection, e.g. if you're hiking somewhere remote. That's quite possibly superfluous though, if you live someone with decent coverage, and have a high data allowance.

All the best! :)

Didn't work. I followed a 1:45 video but it only showed me how to convert the youTubes I created to mp3.

Biden (who I voted for) is simply too old or too stupid to understand that the age of mass migration is over. Importing millions of people illegally who will work for next to nothing just to be here destroys the wages of working class Americans and drives up housing costs when we can't house our own citizens. People cannot overpopulate their home country and just expect to move to greener pastures. There are no more green pastures. Instead of leaving, migrants must seek to voluntarily reduce their country's population to an environmentally sustainable level and stay there.

Since Biden fails to understand this issue he will surely help reelect Trump who does.

Yeah, those are my favorite dialogues too so far.
